Suburban 525022 Water Heater Thermostat / Hi-Limit Switch Cover

The Suburban 525022 Thermostat / Hi-Limit Switch Cover is the OEM protective cover used on many Suburban SW-Series RV water heaters. It installs over the thermostat and high-limit switch area to help protect the electrical components from moisture, dirt, debris, and accidental contact.

The 525022 is used on both gas-only and gas/electric SW-Series water heaters and is designed to cover the thermostat / hi-limit switch area used by both the 12V DC control circuit and the 120V AC electric heating circuit on applicable models.

Fits Both DC and AC Thermostat / Hi-Limit Switches

The 525022 cover is used over both the DC and AC thermostat / hi-limit switch area on applicable Suburban SW water heaters.

12V DC Thermostat / Hi-Limit

The cover is used with the 12V DSI thermostat / hi-limit switch, including applications using:

• Suburban 525007

• Legacy 12V thermostat / hi-limit components used in the SW-Series control circuit

This side of the system is associated with the propane / DSI water-heater controls.

120V AC Thermostat / Hi-Limit

On gas/electric SW models, the same cover also protects the 120V electric thermostat / hi-limit switch, including:

• Suburban 525002

• Legacy 232306

This thermostat controls the 120V electric heating-element circuit.

On many gas/electric SW-Series water heaters, both the 12V DC and 120V AC thermostat / hi-limit switches are located in the same protected service area, and the 525022 cover is used to shield those components.

Replaces Older Part Number

The Suburban 525022 replaces or supersedes older cover number:

• 090562

If the original cover is marked with 090562, the 525022 is the current replacement in applicable installations.

Installation Notes

If any electrical terminals appear burned or damaged, correct the underlying problem before installing the new cover.
