Description

Girard 2GWH-15 Water Heater Gas Burner for GSWH-2

The Girard 2GWH-15 Water Heater Gas Burner is a direct replacement burner assembly for the Girard GSWH-2 tankless RV water heater. The burner mixes propane with airflow and produces the controlled flame used to heat water as it passes through the heat exchanger.

A damaged, corroded or obstructed burner can cause poor combustion, uneven heating, delayed ignition or repeated water-heater shutdowns. Replacing the burner can help restore proper flame quality and dependable hot-water performance when the existing burner is confirmed to be damaged or no longer operating correctly.

This is a model-specific Girard replacement part and is not intended for universal water-heater applications. Lippert identifies it as replacement burner 2GWH-15, part number 2022107570.

Models It Fits

  • Girard GSWH-2 Tankless RV Water Heater

Girard part number: 2GWH-15
Lippert part number: 2022107570

Verify the water-heater model and existing part number before ordering.

Signs You May Need This Part

  • The water heater repeatedly fails to ignite

  • The burner lights but will not remain operating

  • Hot-water temperature is inconsistent or lower than normal

  • The flame appears weak, uneven or unstable

  • Soot or discoloration is visible around the burner area

  • The burner is visibly rusted, cracked, warped or damaged

  • Burner openings are obstructed by debris or corrosion

  • The water heater produces an unusual combustion noise

  • The unit enters an ignition or flame-sensing fault

  • The burner cannot be cleaned or safely returned to service

Poor flame quality can also be caused by debris in the burner orifices, a damaged igniter, improper gas pressure, restricted airflow, a faulty gas valve or a flame-sensing problem. The GSWH-2 service manual recommends diagnosing these related components before replacing the burner assembly.

Estimated Installation Time

Approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

Girard’s service guidelines allow approximately 1.2 hours, including diagnostic time, for replacement of the GSWH-2 burner assembly. Actual installation time may vary depending on technician experience, component accessibility, corrosion and the condition of the burner orifice block and gas connections.

Because this repair involves an LP-gas appliance and combustion components, installation and testing should be performed by a qualified RV service technician.
