Description

Girard Control Board 2GWH-8/ 2022107561 (fits GSWH-2 Tankless Water Heaters)

The Girard 2GWH-8 Control Board is an OEM replacement microprocessor board for the Girard GSWH-2 tankless RV water heater. This board serves as the main control center for the water heater, receiving information from the unit’s sensors and coordinating the ignition, burner, gas valve and safety functions required to produce hot water.

A failed control board can prevent the water heater from beginning its ignition sequence, communicating with connected components or operating consistently. Replacing the board may restore normal operation when testing confirms that the existing control board is damaged or no longer sending the correct signals.

This is a model-specific replacement controller and is not a universal RV water heater circuit board. Girard identifies it as part 2GWH-8, and Lippert lists it under SKU 2022107561.

Models It Fits

  • Girard GSWH-2 Tankless RV Water Heater

Girard part number: 2GWH-8
Lippert part number: 2022107561

Verify the water heater model and existing control board number before ordering.

Signs You May Need This Part

  • The water heater does not begin the ignition sequence

  • The burner does not ignite despite adequate propane and water flow

  • The water heater operates intermittently

  • The unit shuts down unexpectedly during use

  • The gas valve, igniter or burner is not receiving the proper signal

  • The control panel does not communicate correctly with the water heater

  • Multiple unrelated components appear to stop working at the same time

  • The water heater displays recurring fault codes that return after troubleshooting

  • The board has visible corrosion, burned areas or damaged electrical connections

  • Water intrusion has damaged the existing control board

  • Electrical testing confirms that the board is receiving power but not producing the correct outputs

Control board symptoms can resemble problems caused by low 12-volt power, loose wiring, damaged sensors, poor grounding, restricted water flow or an ignition-system failure. Check the power supply, wiring connections and related components before replacing the board.

Estimated Installation Time

Approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Installation time may vary depending on water heater accessibility, wiring condition and technician experience. The existing wiring connections should be labeled or photographed before removal to ensure each connector is returned to the correct position.
