Dometic 91363 RV Water Heater Ignition Control Kit

The Dometic 91363 Ignition Control Kit is a universal replacement ignition kit for many legacy Atwood and Dometic direct-spark-ignition RV water heaters. The kit includes the ignition control board and matching spark-and-sense electrode, allowing both major ignition components to be replaced together.

During operation, the control board receives the call for heat, sends power to the gas valve, and generates a high-voltage spark at the electrode. After the burner lights, the electrode also senses the flame so the board can keep the gas valve energized. A problem with either component can cause failed ignition, repeated lockouts, or a burner that lights and then shuts down.

The 91363 is commonly identified as a universal replacement for the older Atwood 93865 control board and 93868 electrode combination. It is intended for legacy Atwood/Dometic water heaters rather than the current Dometic WH-series models.

Signs You May Need This Part

• The water heater does not spark during an ignition attempt
• The spark is weak or intermittent
• The burner repeatedly fails to ignite
• The water heater enters ignition lockout

Similar symptoms can also be caused by low 12-volt power, poor grounding, low propane pressure, a clogged burner orifice, a damaged gas valve, an open thermostat or ECO circuit, or incorrect electrode positioning.
