Dometic 91367 RV Water Heater Ignition Control Board

The Dometic 91367 Circuit Control Board is an OEM replacement ignition board for Dometic and Atwood gas-only direct spark ignition RV water heaters. The board controls the propane ignition sequence by sending power to the gas valve and igniter, then monitoring the electrode to confirm that a burner flame has been established.

A failed circuit board may prevent the water heater from sparking, opening the gas valve, or recognizing the burner flame. Replacing the board can restore normal propane operation when the power supply, thermostat, ECO, igniter, gas valve, and wiring have been tested and found to be working correctly.

The Dometic 91367 includes an onboard fuse and spade-style electrode connection. Some older water heaters with an edge-style wiring connector may also require the Dometic 92075 control board adapter, sold separately. Dometic identifies the 91367 as the gas-only board, while the similar 91365 is used with combination gas/electric models.

Signs You May Need This Part

• The water heater does not begin the propane ignition sequence
• The igniter does not spark when hot water is requested
• The gas valve does not receive power during an ignition attempt
• The burner ignites but shuts off after a few seconds
• The board does not recognize that a flame has been established
• The water heater repeatedly enters ignition lockout
• The unit operates intermittently
• The onboard fuse is damaged or repeatedly loses continuity
• The board has visible corrosion, burned components, or water damage
• The board receives the correct 12-volt input but does not send power to the igniter or gas valve
• The thermostat, ECO, igniter, gas valve, and wiring test correctly, but the water heater still does not operate

Similar symptoms may be caused by low 12-volt power, a blown fuse, poor grounding, an open thermal cutoff, a failed thermostat or ECO, a damaged electrode, low propane pressure, or a faulty gas valve. Confirm power and continuity through the ignition and safety circuits before replacing the board.

Estimated Installation Time

Approximately 20 to 45 minutes.

Installation may take longer when the Dometic 92075 edge-connector adapter is required or when the existing wiring is corroded or damaged. Photograph the original wiring connections before removing the old board and compare the connector style before installation.
